US GOVERNMENT
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) continues to be a significant source of funding for Concern Worldwide’s overseas operations. Since 1995, we have received more than $35.5 million in grants supporting both our emergency operations and long-term work in health, microfinance and development education. In 2006, Concern Worldwide US was awarded $5 million in grants from the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) to support our emergency programs in eight countries including Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, LIberia, Malawi, Pakistan, and Sudan.
Concern Worldwide US gratefully acknowledges the substantial funding that we receive from USAID, which supports emergency and development programs in 11 of our countries of operation.
PRIVATE FUNDING
Concern receives private funding from individuals, corporations and foundations. We offer our thanks to all our private donors for your support and commitment. Your generosity allows us to respond quickly and effectively to those in greatest need. Thank you for being part of Concern.
