Elana Blumenfeld

As Director of Human Resources, Elana leads the design and execution of end-to-end people operations, ensuring that HR systems, processes, and practices align with organizational values and strategic goals. Elana plays a pivotal role in the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, as well as oversight of employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and training programs.

She is directly responsible for strengthening operational infrastructure, improving process clarity, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure HR services are consistent, compliant, and scalable. Elana provides strategic leadership in managing and advancing the organization’s human resources function to attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.

Elana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies, from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Long Island University. She joined Concern in 2015 as an Administrative Coordinator, later transitioning to the Human Resources team, where she has continued to advance the organization’s commitment to its people. In May 2025, Elana proudly celebrated 10 years with Concern.
