Our codes and policies shape Concern as a whole and ensure that we are always staying true to our values and our mandate.
All of the work that we carry out is guided by a series of codes and policies which are strictly adhered to at all times. The following codes, policies, and guidelines are a combination of our own written codes and voluntary codes, all of which ensure that we are treating one another with the respect and dignity that we all deserve.

Core Humanitarian Standard
The Core Humanitarian Standard is an internationally-recognized standard of nine commitments. All organizations and individuals involved in humanitarian response can use these standards to improve the quality and effectiveness of their work.

Interaction Code Of Conduct
Concern Worldwide US is a member of Interaction, InterAction is the largest alliance of international NGOs in the United States. InterAction's Standards define the financial, operational, and ethical code of conduct for InterAction and its Member organizations.

Prepared by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent and the ICRC, the Disaster Relief Code of Conduct ensures that we maintain a high standard of behavior, effectiveness, and impact when responding to a disaster.

Our Code of Conduct and Associated Policies provides clear guidance on the standards of behavior that we expect from all of our staff, including around the issue of safeguarding.

Safeguarding
Maintaining the safety and protection of the communities with whom we work and of our staff is of primary importance to Concern. We are a signatory to the Statement of Commitment on Eliminating Sexual Exploitation and Abuse by UN and Non-UN Personnel and to the Red Cross Code of Conduct.
