More than 5.8 million people across Pakistan have been affected by this year’s floods. This comes on top of catastrophic floods in 2022, which affected over 33 million people (many of whom are still recovering from the losses). This latest disaster also fuels a complex humanitarian crisis with both natural and man-made elements.

  • 5.8 million people affected by the 2025 floods
  • 33 million people affected by the 2022 floods — including many who are still rebuilding, three years later
  • 20.6 million people in need of humanitarian assistance
  • 11 million people in rural Pakistan experiencing high levels of food insecurity and hunger

How is Concern helping in Pakistan?

Concern has worked in Pakistan for nearly a quarter of a century, supporting communities through natural disasters, conflict, and long-term development. As the floodwaters recede and attention turns toward recovery, we remain actively working alongside local partners, government agencies, and affected communities to rebuild stronger, safer, and more resilient systems for the future. Last year, our emergency response programs in the country reached over 750,000 people. In response to this year’s floods, we've so far reached over 210,000 people, including the following key distributions:

  • 1,400 families provided with winter clothing kits for the months ahead
  • 1,000 families provided with bedding kits
  • 1,200 hygiene and dignity kits distributed to flood-affected communities
  • 1,200 people across 60 communities reached with hygiene promotion sessions
