Dave Hourihane

David grew up in West Cork, Ireland in a town called Skibbereen. He attended Clongowes Wood College for secondary school. Thereafter, he studied at the University College Dublin where he played rugby and earned a Chemical Engineering degree. Following graduation, he transitioned from engineering to the financial markets. He moved to Chicago to launch a trading career with DRW Trading, LLC. After 16 years with DRW, David left to manage his own proprietary trading firm with PNT Financial, LLC.  At PNT, he specializes in trading options on short-term interest rates.

David is committed to family and community. He and his wife, Justine, live in Winnetka, Illinois, with their three children: Emmett, Lucy and Niall. David is passionate about sailing, golf, and rugby. Despite his long tenure in Chicago, he remains closely connected to his Irish roots, frequently traveling home to visit family and attend Irish rugby internationals.

David became an early supporter of Concern when he first moved to Chicago. Fundraising for Concern was a way to connect with other Irish people, and work with the shared focus of helping those in need. Today, David is eager to bring his passion, work ethic, and dedication to the board.
