John Murphy is Principal of his own boutique law firm, John Murphy & Associates, P.C., which he started in 2013 having spent a dozen years working at global law firms and a global investment bank.
He is a long time supporter of Concern and has served as Co-Chair of the Winter Ball Committee. John is active in the Irish-American community in New York, having help found and lead the Irish-Network NYC and Irish-Network USA in the late 2000s, and serving as past President of the Irish-American Bar Association. In 2009 he was honored by City Hall for his contributions to the Irish community in New York.
John grew up the ninth of 11 children and obtained a scholarship to the US in 1993. He is a graduate of Notre Dame law school and he and his wife Carly, a fellow ND grad and passionate Concern supporter, live in Glen Ridge, NJ with their sons, James and Nathaniel, who both have participated regularly in Concern’s Spring Run!
