Julie Barrot De Brito

Senior Business Development Specialist

Julie is a Senior Business Development Specialist on the Strategic Partnerships team at Concern Worldwide US. She works to grow and strengthen partnerships with U.S-based foundations, corporations, and like-minded organizations, helping expand support for Concern’s humanitarian and development programs. She collaborates closely with Concern’s global offices and country teams to bring their ideas and priorities to U.S. philanthropy. 

Julie brings over 15 years of experience in program design, training, and implementation. Before joining Concern in 2023, she worked with rural communities in Kenya and Thailand and served as a conflict anthropologist in South Sudan through a partnership between AECOM-VISTAS and Veterinarians Without Borders. She also interned at the United Nations in New York and later worked with U.S. nonprofits focused on community dialogues and conflict resolution. 

She holds an MSc in Violence, Conflict, and Development from SOAS, University of London, UK and a BA in International Relations and Languages from ISCSP, University of Lisbon, Portugal, including an Erasmus year at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Julie is always eager to talk about plants, languages, pottery—or anything new she can learn about.
