Concern Worldwide US Board Chair Joanna Geraghty featured in Fortune

Concern Worldwide US Board Chair and CEO of JetBlue Joanna Geraghty was featured in The Broadsheet, a newsletter by Fortune about the world's most powerful women.

Speaking with Emma Hinchliffe, Senior Writer at Fortune, Joanna reflected on the "leap of faith" that brought her from a career in law to the first female CEO of a major US airline. While her new role is "all about the business," Joanna recognized the impact of her position in an industry where only 6 percent of commercial airline pilots are women.

“As women become mothers, the lifestyle is more challenging. You have a lot of trips overnight, you’re away from your family,” she said. “We’re working hard to bend that curve, but it is very, very slow.”

Joanna received the Leadership Award at this year's Women of Concern New York. She has been with JetBlue since 2005, and joined Concern Worldwide US Board as chairperson in 2014.
