For families living in extreme poverty, hunger builds slowly. Failed harvests, rising prices, conflict, and displacement stretch meals thinner. Mothers go without so their children can eat. And little by little, the margin between coping and crisis disappears.

Concern works alongside families before that breaking point, helping them grow nutritious food, strengthen livelihoods, and give children the nutrition they need to thrive. Often, women are at the center of that work, finding ways to keep their families fed despite the barriers they face.
